HDT MAY 2018 26 WWW TRUCKINGINFO COM Hotline TRUCKINGS MOST RESPECTED BUSINESS REPORT Denver based trucking company Navajo Express hired Tim Staroba as executive vice president Staroba has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry most recently as president of CFI Navajo Express services include dedicated fleets intermodal specialized equipment and truckload American Trucking Associations hired Dan Horvath as director of safety in charge of transportation safety advocacy Horvath is a 2017 LEAD ATA graduate who was the director of compliance and safety at TransForce a provider of workforce solutions for transportation and safety compliance consulting Jodie Teuton VP of Kenworth of Louisiana and Southland Truck Leasing was elected chairwoman of American Truck Dealers at the ATD show in Las Vegas She is the first woman to be elected chair of ATD which was founded in 1970 Fontaine Heavy Haul named Greg D Smith VP of marketing and business development a newly created position to support the growth of the company Smith most recently worked for Travis Body Trailer as VP of sales and marketing and was at Talbert Manufacturing as VP of sales and marketing Navistar International announced that Friedrich W Baumann joined the company as senior VP of strategy and planning He will lead Navistars strategic planning product planning and analytics teams and will oversee Navistars alliance with Volkswagen Truck and Bus Rich Clair was named president of Solar Transport a Midwest tank truck carrier and logistics provider Clair was chief operating officer at Trinity Logistics where he still sits on the board of directors In his 38 year career Clair also has held positions at Ryder System Highway Technologies Mail Contractors of America and First Transit Pressure Systems International hired Steve Miller as senior director of engineering His focus will be on ensuring that PSIs product development programs follow a commercialization process and to maintain quality standards Miller joins PSI with more than 23 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry most recently as VP of business development and trailer systems engineering at AXN Heavy Duty The Utah Department of Transportation appointed Teri Newell as an additional deputy director a newly created position She is charged with helping guide UDOT as it works on issues relating to the states growing population advances in technology and the evolution of the transportation industry Mark Doughty was promoted to president and chief operating officer of Help Inc the provider of PrePass and other truck safety services Doughty previously served as VP and ON THE MOVE NEWELL MILLER STAROBA CLAIR SMITH DOUGHTY HORVATH BAUMANN
